Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Miami, Florida Finance Group as a Project Billing Specialist.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Prepares, generates, reconciles, and maintains necessary back-up and documentation for invoices.

JOB DUTIES

Sets up and maintains Billing Terms.
Prepares invoices in accordance with contract requirements.
Maintains contract and billing files and makes changes and updates including but not limited to contract amendments, dates, key members, etc.
Prepares labor adjustments, billing transfers and journal entries as needed.
Performs monthly billing reconciliation.
Prepares and maintains appropriate spreadsheets to support billing, if necessary.
Retrieves back-up documentation and copies for inclusion with invoices.
Prepares invoice certifications for small and minority business subcontractors.
Tracks and monitors subcontractor payments for pay when paid processing.
Performs all work in compliance with company policy, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and in accordance with internal controls.
May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School plus four years related experience, or Associates Degree in accounting plus two years related experience.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to interact effectively with project managers and subcontractors.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

None.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

Prior experience working at an E/A/C company preferred.
