    • We only accept one application from each candidate per recruitment campaign, however, you’ll have the option to select multiple business areas and locations depending on the opportunities we have available.     • Yes – Atkins is an A rated sponsor within the Home Office Sponsorship Management system under Tier 2. This means we can sponsor candidates who do not currently have the right to work in the UK but possess a valid Tier 4 student visa. Following BREXIT, the UK is in a transition period is an a transition period until December 31st 2020. From January 1st 2021 a new UK immigration system will be in place. Application process

    • Our closing dates may vary by role, so please read the job description for details. However, we may close earlier than the specified date based on volume of applications we receive, so we suggest that you get your application in as soon as you can to ensure that you don’t miss out on your preferred role.
    • To ensure that we’re capturing all the details we need to assess your application, you’ll just need to complete our online application form, so you won’t need to provide a CV or covering letter.

Recruitment process

    • Please contact with a brief description of the issue and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible to support you through the next steps.
    • The situational judgement test presents you with work-based scenarios in video format and you’ll be required to select the most/least likely outcome from a list of options. This test offers you a glimpse into life at Atkins and the questions are all underpinned by our key behaviours and competencies that we look for.
    • This year our assessment centre is virtual and a two-stage process. The first stage is a virtual technical interview with the business you’ve applied to and this is a great opportunity to interact with people who could end up being your line manager or co-workers. If you successfully pass this stage you’ll have a virtual assessment centre with your recruiter and up to three other candidates. This is your chance to show us your best in a series of activities which includes a written report and group discussion, as well as an opportunity for you to learn more about Atkins. These virtual activities take place via Microsoft Teams and you’ll be given plenty of notice and guidance to make the process as smooth as possible.
    • Assessments centres typically take place between November and April and dates will vary depending on role and business area you have applied to. Your recruiter will give you more advice and guidance during the process.
    • We’ll let you know when you can expect to hear from us at the end of your assessment centre. The exact timeframes may vary depending on the role you’re being considered for, but we’ll contact you by phone or email with an update, so please make sure your details are up to date in your application.

On-boarding Process

    • We offer a £2,500 settling-in allowance upon joining our development programme and this is paid into your first month’s salary. You’ll also receive another bonus of £2,500 which is paid upon achieving your chosen accreditation.
    • As a graduate you’ll be aligned to a specific office but you may be required to have a flexible and agile approach to working from other offices, client sites or from home depending on the projects you are working on.
