Your role

Join us as a Chemical Engineering placement student and be part of a team of big thinkers. You'll get to work in diverse teams across all of our markets. What you do will be essential to us, supporting the technical aspects of multidisciplinary design projects. And you'll be making a sustainable difference to people's lives all around the world, shaping cities, reimagining transport and transforming nuclear energy.

Where you could work

As a Chemical Engineering placement student, you'll enjoy variety within your role. Whether it’s the design of an airport, bridge, railway station, university campus, nuclear power station or an offshore windfarm, you’ll help us to deliver outstanding projects that respond to the needs and resources of a contemporary world.

Join the teams that have been engineering, delivering, managing and decommissioning nuclear facilities worldwide for over 20 years, from new builds like Hinkley Point C to on-site engineering for clients such as EDF. We're driving evolution in the areas of offshore generation and transmission, energy from waste, electric vehicle infrastructure and the integration of smart grid technology. And we're also proud to play a part in reaching net-zero by 2050.

As an engineering placement student on our Resources team, you'll benefit from our legacy of over 20,000 experts worldwide. We’ve worked on thousands of global installations and can give you unparalleled exposure across, fixed and floating offshore structures, terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants and subsea pipelines. Using innovative and immersive technologies, you'll develop your skillset to work on complex challenges, helping governments and corporations solve problems sustainably and make mission-critical decisions with confidence.

What you can bring

· An understanding of the consultancy environment
· Enthusiasm to drive your own career development, as well as motivation for self-directed learning
· Drive and determination to achieve professional accreditation
· An interest and ability to adapt to the changing world, new technology and being open to flexible and agile ways of working
· Be curious in your thinking and apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions
