Your role
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you'll get to work in diverse teams across all of our markets. We'll trust and support you to work where your interests lie. You could work on a variety of projects, including airports, railway stations, nuclear power stations or offshore wind farms. From design to analysis, manufacturing and maintenance challenges, your contribution will make a difference. You'll be able to point to your projects and say, "I helped make that happen."

Where you could work
As a graduate, you could find yourself in one of the following business areas:

Aerospace, Defence, Security & Technology (ADS&T)
Degree Requirements: Minimum 2.1 Masters degree or above in Mechanical, Aerospace, Marine/Naval or Integrated Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
 
ADS&T work across safety critical industries to exploit cutting-edge advanced technology across aerospace and defence markets, helping clients respond innovatively to evolving external environments. ADS&T work with leading names to transform the future of aerospace engineering and support our national defence programmes across all domains: land, sea, air, maritime and cyber.
 
Whether it’s mechanical, aerospace or systems engineering; advanced materials, finite element analysis or design – whatever your passion is, you’ll be joining a high-end engineering team working on ground-breaking projects. You’ll get the opportunity to work across design, systems engineering and structural analysis, you’ll be equipped to face the future needs of the market.
 
Locations for this business area will include; South West, Scotland, London & South East;
Bristol, Glasgow, Silchester 

Infrastructure
Welcome to the team that's shaping smarter, healthier and more sustainable places and spaces. Join us as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer and be trusted to own your own projects. You could work on an international airport, a local transport interchange, a nuclear power station or a university campus. Across Cities & Development, Energy, Transportation, Water or Environment, you'll decide where you'd like your career to go.

Nuclear and Power
Join the teams that have been engineering, delivering, managing and decommissioning nuclear facilities worldwide for over 20 years. You'll work on new builds like Hinkley Point C and on-site engineering for clients such as EDF. We're driving evolution in the areas of offshore generation and transmission, energy from waste, electric vehicle infrastructure and the integration of smart grid technology. With us, you'll play a proud part in reaching net-zero by 2050.

Resources – Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind and Decarbonisation
We have a team of over 20,000 experts, and we've worked on thousands of oil and gas installations across North America, Australia, the Middle East, UK and Europe. As one of our Graduate Mechanical Engineers, you'll get to choose from a variety of projects, from fixed and floating offshore structures, to terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants and subsea pipelines. You'll be supported and trusted to work across the lifecycle of exciting projects, while honing your skills on exciting digital and immersive technologies.

Transportation

By combining traditional engineering and new innovative technologies, our teams make journeys easier, safer and more reliable while supporting a greener and more productive society. Our work spans the full transport ecosystem, across rail, highways and local transport. You'll feel a sense of pride working with clients such as Highways England, Network Rail and Transport for London.
