Apprenticeships selection process

Our selection process is designed to help us select the best people for our apprenticeship schemes and we hope it offers you the opportunity to showcase your talents and really shine.

The information below will explain the typical route we anticipate our applicants to go through, letting you know what to expect, at what time and what we require of you.

If you require adjustments or support to complete any of the below assessments, please contact apprenticeships@atkinsglobal.com.

Firstly you’ll need to choose from four levels of apprenticeships which one might suit you best:

    • The Advanced level is the equivalent to 2 A-Level passes and to be eligible you’ll need to have acquired at least 5 passes at GCSE or equivalent. An Advanced apprenticeship involves working towards work-based learning qualifications such as an NVQ and knowledge-based qualifications (such as BTEC Diplomas, Awards and Nationals) relevant to the sector worked in.

You will want to be aware that depending on the Level of apprenticeship you choose to apply for and the location, this will link to a specific learning provider who will have their own set of entry requirements so please check each role and the entry requirements careful. They also can and will change between the time of our roles going live and being offered a role so will be subject to change. We’ll do our best to keep you updated as we go through the cycle and you progress through the recruitment process.

HINTS AND TIPS

  1. Do your research….on our apprentice programme and the industry you’re applying to. Make sure you meet the minimum criteria detailed on our job descriptions and that you only apply to one role.

  2. Focus your application….tailor the information you provide in the application and immersive assessment to the role you have chosen. Make sure your passion comes across and why an apprenticeship is the right path for you.

  3. Take your time.…it’s obvious but don’t rush it, take your time at each step

  4. Check, check and check again....revisit your application before you submit it to make sure there are no errors and that you’ve added everything that’s required.
