Atkins is engineering change for women
We value the different perspectives our people bring and recognise everyone for their contributions equally. That's why our vision is to see more women taking up senior roles at Atkins. We're investing in our female employees at all career stages. And as a result, we're attracting, retaining and promoting more women.

Women's Professional Networks (WPNs)
Female employees use this friendly, informal forum to encourage gender-balance and inclusion in the workplace. Meetings are held across our offices and have featured presentations, book reviews and world café events. The networks are also great spaces to learn from and be inspired by women as talented as you.
We appreciate that different people have different priorities, so we're here to support you with whatever you need. And by ending the stigma that flexible working is 'just for mums,' it's become part of our team culture. Some of our flexible working policies that will help you get the most out of life, both at work and outside it:
- Term time working
- Home working and mobile working
- Part time and job share
- Sabbatical, or career breaks
- Phased retirement
- Buy more leave holiday scheme
Since 2012, we've seen a 74% increase in our male, part-time population. And almost half of us regularly buy up to 15 more days' leave every year.
