I’m Kwazi Nokwabuza, junior engineer at Kentz, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group. I am fortunate to be one of the top ten graduates chosen for SNC-Lavalin’s 2018 Graduate Engineering Development Program (GEDP). It’s a rotational program that includes practical experience, formal in-house tuition and relevant external training.

What is the team like at Kentz?

Being part of this team has been a great experience. I’ve been given so much support from the team here. Thanks to them I’m achieving my goals and exceeding my expectations. It’s been challenging at times, but I am grateful for the opportunity!

What have you been learning on the program?

Being part of this organization has made me feel confident about my future. My managers believe in me and my potential to become a leader in the business. So I’ve been supported and motivated to seriously improve my business and technical abilities. I’m excited about my next step – focusing on attaining my professional registration, while getting to grips with more technical project work, and greater project and people management responsibilities!

What next for Kwazi?

Being part of this organization has made me feel confident about my future. I feel I have hugely improved my business and technical skills, and my next step, with the company’s support, will be attaining my professional registration.
