Le Conseiller apportera son soutien au directeur SSE dans l’élaboration, la mise en œuvre et le maintien des programmes et des initiatives SSE pour le groupe d’ingénierie, conception et gestion de projet (ICGP) du Québec et des Atlantiques (1200 employés dans plus de 20 bureaux). Cette personne veillera aussi à la conformité avec le système de gestion SSE de SNC-Lavalin et aux lois applicables en matière de SSE. Quelle sera votre contribution dans l’équipe?
Définir et établir les exigences corporatives ainsi que des projets en collaboration avec le directeur SSE de la division;
Participer à l’élaboration des procédures, programmes et manuels SSE corporatifs;
Faire le suivi et évaluer les programmes de prévention et les procédures des sous-traitants afin d’assurer la conformité aux exigences réglementaires et du maître d’œuvre;
Fournir des conseils en matière de SSE aux chefs de projet, ainsi que l’encadrement et le mentorat des employés pour une utilisation appropriée des outils du programme SSE;
Soutenir au niveau de la planification et de l’exécution SSE pour des projets, notamment en élaborant et/ou en révisant des plans SSE conformément aux exigences SNC-Lavalin et des clients ainsi qu’aux obligations légales, et par des visites des sites de projets;
Gestion du programme de formation régional, y compris que la formation d’orientation des nouveaux employés, la coordination des formations interne/externe et l’élaboration de nouveaux matériels de formation;
Effectuer des inspections et des audits SSE. Recommander des actions correctives et en assurer leurs suivies;
Gestion des incidents dans la région ainsi que les rapports, enquêtes et la gestion de cas;
Fournir des directives avisées quant à l’interprétation et au champ d’application des lois et règlements fédéraux et provinciaux en santé et sécurité au travail et environnement;
Gestion des statistiques SSE pour ICGP Québec et Atlantique;
Offrir du soutien SSE pour la gestion des bureaux et des installations, qui peut comprendre la tenue d’un inventaire des fournitures PPE et H&S, la conformité des bureaux aux exigences en matière de code d’incendie et de premiers soins; et, en soutenant les comités conjoints de santé et de sécurité.
Que recherchons-nous?
Excellente communication en français et anglais (oral et écrit).
5 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de la santé et sécurité du travail;
Expérience pertinente en SSE dans des industries semblables (Ingénierie, Services conseils, construction, évaluations environnementales et assainissement);
Expérience au niveau d‘enquêtes d'accidents et d’inspections en milieu de travail ;
Excellente connaissance des normes : ISO 9001 et ISO 45001;
Expérience dans l’élaboration et la mise en œuvre de programme SSE;
Expérience en vérification interne et en formation;
Connaissance approfondie des diverses lois et règlements applicables en SSE;
Connaissance de Microsoft Office;
Excellente communication en français et en anglais (oral et écrit).
Disponibilité à voyager en dehors de la ville (environ 25% du temps).

The Advisor will support and partner with the HSE Director in the development, implementation and maintenance of HSE programs and initiatives for the Engineering, Design and Project Management Division (EDPM) of SNC-Lavalin supporting Quebec and Atlantic Canada (1200+ employees and 20+ offices). This person will ensure conformance with SNC-Lavalin’s HSE Management System and ensure compliance with applicable HSE legislation. How will you contribute to the team?
Establishing corporate and project standards and requirements in collaboration with the division's HSE Director
Participating in the development of HSE procedures, programs and supporting documentation
Monitoring and evaluating contractors’ health and safety programs and procedures to ensure conformity to regulatory and corporate requirements
Providing HSE advice to project managers and coaching and mentoring employees in the proper use of HSE program tools
Supporting HSE planning and execution for projects, including developing and/or reviewing HSE plans as per SNC-Lavalin and Client requirements and legal compliance obligations, and visiting project sites
Regional Training program management, including providing new hire orientation, coordination of internal/external training, and development of new training material
Performing HSE inspections and audits, recommending corrective actions and following up on corrective actions implemented
Regional incident management, including reporting, investigation and case management
Providing specialist guidance in interpreting and applying Canadian and provincial Occupational Health, Safety and Environment legislation
HSE statistics management for EDPM Quebec and Atlantic Canada
Office / facilities management HSE support, which may include maintaining an inventory of PPE and H&S supplies, ensuring offices are compliant with fire code and first aid requirements; and, supporting Joint Health and Safety Committees
What will you contribute?
Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is a requirement
Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational HSE
HSE experience in a relevant industry (engineering, consulting, construction and/or environmental assessments and remediation)
Experience conducting incident investigations and workplace inspections
Working knowledge of the ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards
Experience in HSE program development and implementation
Auditing experience
Training experience
Working knowledge of government HSE standards, rules and regulations
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Available for travel (around 25% of the time)
