Procurement Support Specialist

The Procurement support specialist is responsible for providing support to Faithful+Gould's project managers, tracking correspondence, updating the procurement status on a weekly basis, supporting RFP's, and assisting in the preparation of contracts. This is a full time, junior level role with robust benefits. This position is located at our premier client site located in Chandler, AZ. Local candidates only please.

Responsibilities
• Soliciting, evaluating, negotiating and awarding contracts
• Analysing, negotiating, and setting claims and proposals
• Planning, establishing, or reviewing contracts, programs, policies, or procedures
• Continuity of correspondence between the contractor and client for all commercial matters
• Track and manage the contract notice log
• Perform cost or price analysis
• Negotiate contract modifications
• Create, track, monitor and ensure the accuracy
• Prepares evaluation of contractors’ capabilities and Requests for Proposals
• Evaluates facts surrounding problem areas, enlists the advice and assistance of others, determines the most appropriate remedial actions, and implements corrective actions through available means
• Assists in contacting contractors for clarifications
• Assist in the preparation of contracts
• Working with the Procurement Manager on identifying specific needs
• Utilize schedules to meet bid negotiation milestones
• Update the procurement status on a weekly basis and provide weekly updates to senior leadership
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Finance, Construction Management or Supply Chain Management or equivalency in experience 1 year of relevant work experience
• Must be highly ethical and strong value based individual focused on fairness and maintaining confidentiality
• The successful candidate will have a “sense of urgency” to issue resolution
• Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills that can interact with diverse groups across organizational levels.
• Familiarity with business practices and market conditions
• Working knowledge of PC software packages (Word, Excel, Adobe Professional and Power Point) typically associated with procurement
