Senior Electrical Technician

Responsibility

• The operation and maintenance of the buildings, and related systems, including environmental, electrical, Building Automation, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Provide technical guidance and direction to operations staff
• Undertake corrective and preventative maintenance of all environmental, mechanical and electrical operational systems including controls, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, major refrigeration systems, life safety systems, electrical lighting and distribution, and water treatment
• Ensure the completion of scheduled corrective and preventative maintenance service to building systems as assigned

Skills

• Minimum of ten (10) years building operations or industry experience
• Must have a certificate or Diploma in relevant discipline
• Highly motivated with a strong customer service focus
• Ability to work independently and in a close team
• Working knowledge of fire and safety codes
• Ability to make effective technical decisions in emergency situations
• Excellent leadership skills -Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of the operation of computerized control systems for complex environmental, mechanical and electrical operational systems
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• College certificate or post secondary education would be an asset
