Senior Project Manager in Healthcare Construction
Our Chicago team is growing! If you want to be

experience as a Construction Manager on large Healthcare projects, we would
like to connect with you. We are looking for Senior Project Managers who
under general direction, provides construction management administrative
services required to design and construct projects to achieve timely completion.
Heavy MEP experience in a healthcare environment is helpful. This is an

Responsibilities
Performs non-manual field work that involves a combination of
conventional and complex features, requiring the application of sound and
diversified professional knowledge in board areas of assignments, usually
including the coordination of various projects
Monitoring design professionals’ substantial compliance
with contract and special provisions and determining project quality, cost, and
adherence to established completion schedule.
Monitoring contractors' substantial compliance with
contract, plans, specifications and special provisions and determining project
quality, cost, and adherence to established completion schedule.
Plans, organizes, and directs activities concerned with the design, construction
and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design
professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures,
complaints and construction problems.
Provide recommendations to owner of actions necessary to achieve
approved construction schedules and budgets, adherence to design standards and
guidelines, and resolution of complaints and project problems.
Assists with project delivery strategies.
Schedules the project in logical steps and budgets time required to
meet deadlines.
Assists owner in management of project procurement, selection of
contractors and assists with contract paperwork and management of changes.
Manages QA/QC quality control plans.
Supervises the building permit process and compliance with codes.
Attends weekly construction meetings.
Prepares daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
Reviews design professional and contractor applications for payment
and recommends payment to client.
Creates and monitors cost reports for the client.
Manages punch list preparation and project close-out.
Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time
deem necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering,
or related field and ten years related experience OR associate‘s degree and
18 years’ of experience in lieu of a degree. Without a degree, twenty
years related experience is required
10 years’ relevant experience with Healthcare Design and Construction
Heavy MEP experience preferred
10-hour training in OSHA safety requirements a plus
Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to
problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities. Must have
excellent communication and presentation skills.
Leadership and managerial skills; analytical and organization skills;
ability to supervise field representatives and field office personnel
Must have ability to navigate Web-based construction management
software (often provided by the client).
Must have experience with setting meetings, organizing agendas, and
keeping minutes for projects records.
Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the
performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe
Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
Working knowledge of industry standard software, including but not
limited, Planning & Scheduling, and cost management applications.
Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Projects is preferred.
