Overview
Our Canadian Rail & Transit Engineering Division is looking for Transportation Planning Analyst to develop our Intelligent Transport Solutions product line and support Rail & Mass Transit operations planning and assessment within our Rail & Transit Strategic Services team, based in Toronto.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Quantitative and analytically driven transport performance appraisal and improvement.
- Rail network simulation.
- Capacity analysis.
- Rail operational and infrastructure planning.
- Service plan, schedule, and staff rostering development.
- Signaling concept design (including conventional, ETCS, and CBTC) optimization.
- Involvement in supporting development of ITS product strategy and assist in internal and external partnership development and research and development projects with Ontario based universities.
What will you contribute?
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science, with a Civil engineering background preferred.
- Highly proficient in Excel.
- Have existing knowledge of, and strong interest in the emerging ITS market.
- Experience in data interpretation, manipulation, and visualization.
- Willingness to periodically work inter-province.
- Presentation and networking skills, with previous experience desirable.
