Atkins Nuclear is currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as an Architect Designer in Oak Ridge, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

Candidate will perform architectural design activities throughout the Y-12 site including drawings, specifications, data sheets, and engineering instructions. Architect duties include field work, taking measurements, providing floor plans and equipment layouts, performing code checks for egress or other issues, providing their own CAD drawings, specifying paint and finishes, detailing windows and flashing, roofing, doors and hardware, security features, and building cladding.
Experience with Microstation drafting a plus but willingness to learn and use Microsation is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word required.
Required start date is flexible. Q clearance is required but can start work while waiting.
Due to fluctuation in architectural work ability and willingness to assist on non-architectural task is preferable

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Requires at least a 2 year degree related to architecture or a 2 year degree with 5 years related architectural experience.
