Requirements: GCSEs including a B/6 in Mathematics & C/5 in English Language and Literature + A Level or equivalent, to include Maths and a STEM based subject (Full details)

Apprentices will work with a variety of teams, join us and you can expect to be involved in a variety of projects to:

  • Support engineers creating ground breaking designs for all kinds of projects
  • Get an opportunity to see first-hand how the team provides electrical support and see how these electrical skills and expertise are applied to companies.
  • As an electrical apprentice you’ll get the opportunity to develop your capability in a wide range of exciting projects
  • Create CAD drawings and maintain the drawing register
  • Supporting client meetings and assisting in building relationships
  • Shaping the future of the digital world

During your 4-6 years apprenticeship, no two days will be the same as you study and work with a variety of teams whilst developing the skills you need to enjoy a great future at Atkins. Spending one day at your local college, you’ll study towards a 6 qualification, degree apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering. Not only will you learn in the classroom, you’ll enjoy being part of the team as you will get involved with a variety of projects and learn something new every day.

Join a growing community of apprentices here at Atkins and contribute to projects in the UK Defence Equipment and Infrastructure Programmes, Cyber Security, Digital Transformation Programmes, Aerospace, Transportation and Energy domains. Our principle clients include UK Government Departments & Agencies, Airbus, BAE SYSTEMS, Cobham, Babcock, EDF, Heathrow Airports Limited and many others. We are looking for someone with the confidence and passion to adapt to new challenges, using their creativity and drive to develop innovative solutions for our clients and for society, as a whole.

  • Not afraid to show initiative or ask for guidance when you need it, you must be customer focused and commercially aware with a strong attention to detail
