Business Intelligence Developer with proficiency in SSIS, SSRS, Sql Server and PowerBI
What You’ll Do
Maintain the production Business Intelligence products and solutions, including resolving production issues and responding quickly to priority problems
Analyze reporting service requests and define technical specifications for efficient report solution development
Work with architect in maintaining reporting standards and protocols
Identify opportunities for self-service and educate the business on self-service capabilities on BI
Analyze data and data requirements regarding reporting solutions, ensure data quality and match-back to core systems transaction results
Maintain documentation of reporting solutions, data mapping, data dictionary, and reporting standards
Perform quality review of new and existing reporting solutions. Coordinate end user review and acceptance of the developed solutions
Engage directly with internal clients and business stakeholders to determine KPIs and requirements
Build an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical issues; use research and business modelling techniques to clearly analyze underlying issues and their impact
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Where required, develop a business case working with the client to clearly articulate the ROI of the solution and its impact on the related KPI(s)
Development of Reports, Dashboards and other Data Products
Development experience in creating ETL using SSIS, Sql Server
Development, support and maintenance of the business metrics and KPIs via Power BI and SSRS.
The ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical requirements
The ability to design quick prototypes or models using Excel or Visualization tools to have a dialog with the client and precisely capture the actual functional requirements
The ability to work with the team to design and implement the actual reports, dashboards and other data products
Educate and train end-users so that they can make fullest use of reporting solutions
Conduct analyses of functional business processes and requirements
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets that are in different formats and from various platforms
Be a champion for clean data and identify opportunities for improving data quality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in creating ETL using SSIS, Sql Server
Experience creating dashboards using Power BI, SSRS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Sql Azure.
Good understanding of SSAS and other analytical tool development
Good understanding of Finance data and its reporting need
Self-starter, and be able to drive conversations across different levels of Client and Stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology
5+ years of experience creating, designing, analysing and maintaining data warehousing/BI Reporting products
Expertise in using reporting packages and databases (SQL, etc.), writing queries, ETL development, charting and report writing
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse business requirements
Advanced Excel skills would be added advantage.
