Business Analyst-Hyperion & GL support

• The Role: This role would fit a dynamic professional that likes the logical approach to systems and processes and that is looking to develop knowledge in various areas like IT Applications, Business analysis, Data analytics, Process Automation
• Location: IT & Finance Shared Service Centre, Bucharest Romania
• The Team: IT Business Solutions Delivery Team, an extension of the IT team based in Montreal Canada (SNC-Lavalin's HQ)
• Clients:  SNC-Lavalin entities across the Globe, focusing currently on Canada, USA, & Middle East
• Day to day activities: Managing tickets and tasks, testing fixes and new functionalities of the applications/systems
• Lines of collaboration: Locally and globally based colleagues in the IT & Finance SSC, Third Part  IT Vendors, Applications Vendors (Oracle, SAP, UI Path etc.)
• Applications/Systems used:  ERP Oracle R12 eBusiness Suite, Sage, EPM Hyperion HFM, FDMEE, PBCS, Smartview and BI SAP Business Objects, RPA Ui Path
• Opportunities to grow: involvement in stretch assignments and new implementations across the glove, learning new applications, opportunities to travel etc.

Responsibilities

• Monitor part of the systems (ERP, EPM, BI, RPA and others) in production, identify issues and solutions & perform root cause analysis
• Ensure the resolution for all applications issues (tickets) in an autonomous manner and in collaboration, by case, with the Third Party, Internal IT Partners and Systems Vendors
• Act as Business Analyst and coordinate on new requirements for enhancements or new functionalities/applications (testing and developing if required)
• Identify areas for business/system improvement and take actions on them
• Build and maintain documentation and procedures
• Analyze financial information and identify reconciliation issues and cause
• Create and update existing mapping scripts, business rules set up in Hyperion and Oracle EBS GL and in their connection
• Perform Hyperion and GL metadata maintenance

Requirements

• Experience in working with ERP Oracle e-Business Suite, EPM Hyperion HFM, PBCS, Business Intelligence tools
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/IT (Cybernetics)
• SQL skills (independent user)
• Proficiency in English (French would be a plus)
• Problem-solving skills, analytical, logical mindset and approach to new things
• Communication skills – ability to explain with clarity the relationship between processes, systems etc.
• Ability to work independently and to prioritize tasks accordingly

Nice to have

• Finance or HR Systems Support experience or knowledge mix of Finance and Systems
• Process mapping and Process improvement certification (eg. Six Sigma, Lean) would be a plus
• Data analysis and auditing experience
• Business Analysis experience or knowledge of Project management methodologies (Prince2, PM Book etc.)
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel
