Les responsabilités du Chef d’équipe SIG comprennent, mais ne se limitent pas, au développement et à la définition des services liés au SIG dans l’ensemble de EDPM. Le/la responsable du SIG sera chargé(e) de coordonner avec le personnel du SIG dans d’autres bureaux afin de s’assurer que les ressources communes soient gérées au besoin et que des normes communes sont appliquées. Comme il y a un chevauchement croissant entre le SIG, l’informatique et la gestion des données et de l’information, le Chef d’équipe SIG travaillera avec le personnel de toutes les régions et secteurs impliqués dans ces services pour le développement, le soutien et la gestion de nouveaux services et outils, ainsi que la promotion et le développement de solutions techniques novatrices soutenant divers objectifs organisationnels spécifiques aux projets et programmes, ainsi que des objectifs organisationnels plus importants. Le rôle implique la liaison avec des clients internes et externes, diverses ressources informatiques, et divers spécialistes techniques. La planification et la gestion du temps à court et moyen terme sont nécessaires pour atteindre les objectifs spécifiques aux projets et aux programmes, tandis que la planification à long terme et la mise en œuvre agile de stratégies et de solutions sont nécessaires pour aider à soutenir les objectifs organisationnels liés à l’innovation numérique, aux workflows optimisés/automatisés, à l’amélioration des stratégies de gestion des données et aux diverses améliorations de la valeur client (coût, expérience, plate-forme). Relevant du gestionnaire CDAO and SIG, le chef d’équipe SIG fournit des commentaires/commentaires sur les besoins liés au SIG, la stratégie, l’évaluation des nouvelles technologieset l’alignement avec la stratégie d’affaires.
Responsabilités:
Veiller à ce que le travail soit effectivement délégué au sein de l’équipe SIG de EDPM afin de répondre efficacement aux besoins des clients
S’assurer que l’équipe gère son carnet de commandes de façon appropriée (à temps, dans les limites du budget, etc.) en coordination avec d’autres prospects et coordonnateurs, le cas échéant.
Gérer et/ou entreprendre des travaux liés au SIG et tout autre travail technique de projet s’il y a lieu
Communiquer clairement et efficacement les situations et les problèmes au gestionnaire; aider le gestionnaire à ressourcer et à hiérarchiser les besoins
Résoudre les requêtes et les problèmes au fur et à mesure qu’ils surviennent
Signaler l’arriéré et le rendement de l’équipe au gestionnaire
Gérer/ élaborer des programmes de formation pour examen et approbation par la direction
Développer la solutions - assistance, coordination ou assistance aux contributeurs individuels et aux clients dans le développement de solutions
Participer à l’élaboration et à la maintenance de modèles et de normes dans l’ensemble de EDPM
Être le point de contact central pour les besoins/idées des employés; parrainer l’innovation
Soutenir l’application d’idées aux clients lorsque les clients indiquent des besoins de services(flux de travail ou optimisations spécifiques au projet); aider à évaluer les besoins des clients et à proposer des solutions appropriées ou un processus d’élaboration d’une solution appropriée
Construire la ligne de service – aider la direction à augmenter ses revenus grâce à des approches et des solutions novatrices et à optimiser la prestation des projets
Explorer et parrainer de nouvelles applications et optimiser l’utilisation du SIG et d’autres intégrations technologiques (géo-spatiales)
Partager des idées avec la direction et l’équipe pour faire le tri et prioriser les idées
Mesurer le succès des solutions (retour sur investissement, adoption, utilité, impact sur les entreprises, etc.)
Initiatives de soutien provenant de prospects de marché ou de service
Soutenir la gestion dans le recrutement et la formation du personnel
Propose, faire évoluer et superviser l’achat ou le développement de nouveaux logiciels
Compétences de base :
Français / Maîtrise de l’anglais
Diplôme technique appliqué d’au moins 2 ans en SIG ou certificat dans une discipline ou une formation équivalente / formation / expérience de travail
Suite technologique ESRI ArcGIS
Expérience de diriger ou de coordonner d’autres contributeurs individuels, demandes, et tâche de projet, etc.
Expérience avec l’administration/architecture de base de données (serveur SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) un atout
Diverses langues de programmation/script (par exemple Python, Visual Basic, JavaScript, etc.) un atout
Microsoft Office y compris Access
Job Description:
The accountabilities of the GIS Lead include, but are not limited to, developing and defining GIS related services across EDPM. The GIS Lead will be responsible for coordinating with GIS personnel in other offices to ensure that common resources are managed as required, and that common standards are enforced. As there is an increasing overlap between GIS, IT, and data / information management, the GIS Lead will work with personnel across regions and sectors involved in these services for the development, support, and management of new services and tools, as well as the promotion and development of innovative technical solutions supporting various project / program specific, and larger organizational objectives. The role involves liaison with both internal and external clients, various IT resources, and various technical specialists. Short and medium-term planning and time management are required to meet project / program specific objectives, while longer term planning and agile strategizing and solution delivery are required to help support organizational goals related to digital innovation, optimized / automated workflows, improved data management strategies, and various client value enhancements (cost, experience, platform). Reporting to the GIS and Drafting Manager, the GIS Lead provides input/feedback regarding GIS related needs, strategy, evaluation of new technologies, and the alignment with business strategy.
How will you contribute to the team?
Ensure that work is effectively delegated among the EDPM GIS team to meet client needs in an effective manner
Ensure that team is managing their backlog appropriately (on time, within budget, etc.) in coordination with other Leads and coordinators as applicable
Manage and / or undertake GIS related work and any other technical project work as applicable
Clearly and efficiently communicate situations / issues to manager; assist manager in resourcing and prioritizing needs
Resolve queries and problems as they arise
Report team backlog and performance to manager
Manage / develop training programs for review and approval by management
Develop Solutions - provided support for, coordinate, or assist individual contributors and clients in solution development
Participate in development and maintenance of templates and standards across EDPM
Be the initial point of inquiry for staff needs / ideas; sponsor innovation
Support the application of ideas to clients where clients indicate needs for services (work-flow or project specific optimizations); assist in assessing the clients’ needs and in proposing appropriate solutions or a process for developing an appropriate solution
Build the service line – assist management to increase revenue with innovative approaches and solutions and optimized project delivery
Explore and sponsor new applications and optimized use of GIS and other (geo-spatial) technology integrations
Share ideas with management and team to further triage and prioritize ideas
Measure success of solutions (ROI, uptake, utility, impact on business, etc.)
Support initiatives originated by market or service leads
Support management in recruiting and training staff
Propose, and assist with budgeting, and overseeing new software purchasing or development
What will you contribute?
French / English fluency
Minimum 2 year applied technical diploma in GIS or certificate in a related discipline or equivalent education / training / work experience
ESRI ArcGIS technology suite
Experience leading or coordinating other individual contributors, requests, and project task etc.
Experience with database administration/architecture (SQL server, PostgreSQL, etc.) an asset
Various programming / scripting languages (e.g. Python, Visual Basic, JavaScript, etc.) an asset
Microsoft Office including Access
