Based in Ottawa, we are looking for a qualified Civil 3D Specialist to support our major transportation design and build project. The incumbent will evolve in a motivated technical team mastering the latest 3D modeling technologies. Our team benefits from a vast expertise supported by a community of practice which brings together the greatest experts from our various offices. Our professionals benefit from continuous training.
How will you contribute to the team?
Create 3D modeling of excavations, concrete structures, etc.;
Read, understand and interpret construction plans;
Follow-up of work and modifications of plans, and new calculations of quantities as needed;
Develop the built-in BIM model for product structure;
Maintain the integrated BIM model to ensure interdisciplinary coordination, detection of potential conflicts and validation, and to ensure the transfer from design to construction;
Work and act as liaison with BIM sector Construction Coordinators
Manage the integrated model within the common data environment
Streamline the use of BIM software and communication processes to achieve optimal efficiency throughout the design, construction and completion of the project;
Maintain BIM documents and templates for the sites, update and archive them.
What will you contribute?
University or college degree in engineering or construction, or related fields;
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a construction designer or modeller;
Mastery of Autocad and Civil 3D software;
In-depth knowledge of BIM approaches and tools;
In-depth knowledge of BIM and 3D technologies;
The ability to find creative solutions to complex problems.
Ability to collaborate and work as a team;
Experience in civil infrastructure or building design and construction projects.
Knowledge / understanding of industry practices, processes and standards.
On site construction experience is an asset.
