Job Details
Purpose of the Role:
The Client Device Lead position is a hands-on role to manage, monitor, implement and support the client devices. Working in the Technical Services Team you will provide support with designing and implementing new services, project delivery, customer requests and offering technical advice to other team members. In addition you will collaborate with the corporate client devices teams to ensure that specialist services are not overlooked.
This role may suit an individual who has experience within a 3rd line client device environment, experience of creating and deploying builds and has proven experience troubleshooting client-based issues within a large organisation. The successful candidate will be somebody who is dynamic, analytical and able to come up with smart solutions within a tight budget.
Key Deliverables/Responsibilities
- Resolving 3rd line client device related incident support calls.
- Transitioning documented procedures to and mentoring the operational support teams.
- Evaluating and resolving Client performance issues and requests.
- Designing and deploying new solutions.
- Building / deploying client resources.
- Manage the technology life cycle, deploying appropriate application versions and updates as required.
- Creation of standard client builds.
- Improving/automating and scripting administrative procedures.
- Available as a technical resource available for project-based work.
- Continual service improvement through best practise and new and innovative technologies
Experience Required
Essential Technical Requirements
To be considered for this role you must be able demonstrate considerable experience with the following:
- Proven experience of a wide range of HP client hardware platforms
- Microsoft Windows Client Operating Systems.
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Cloud platforms – Azure
- Configuring, deploying client resources.
- Working within a helpdesk / support environment, dealing with customer issues through to resolution.
- Client device lockdown policies including compliance with regulatory frameworks
- Knowledge of application delivery, deployment task sequences and OS deployment
- Knowledge and experience of MDM solutions in particular In-Tune
You must also be able to demonstrate experience with:
- Advanced client-based troubleshooting and monitoring within a Microsoft Windows environment.
- SCCM for operating system and application deployment
- Group Policy management within a mixed client environment, filtering and targeting policies.
- Benchmarking and client performance tuning.
- Windows Client OS
Desirable Technical Experiences
- Networking fundamentals and basic troubleshooting.
- Client device Security products
- Experience working within ITIL aligned Service Delivery organization.
- Worked in an Engineering environment.

- Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements
- Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written)
- Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams
- Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services
