Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Dallas, TX Project Controls Group as a Construction Scheduler.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Provide project scheduling support to Clients and Project Managers to help meet contract schedules and budgets and/or assist in the research and review of data for construction claims analyses.

JOB DUTIES

Prepare time determination construction schedules per plans and specifications utilizing previous construction experience and scheduling best practices.
Review schedule Baseline review including durations, logic, sequencing, production rates constructability review and methods statements for compliance with contract requirements.
Provide written comments and recommendation to Project Engineer.
Review monthly schedule updates submitted by contractor.
Provide written comments and recommendation to Project Engineer.
Prepare schedule reports and exhibits to assist in the evaluation of schedule delays and remaining as planned work.
Attend work session with contractor and client as needed for schedule discussion throughout the project.
Provide ongoing schedule review and evaluation support through project completion.
Prepares miscellaneous reports and correspondence to support project managers in the development of contract change orders, manpower allocation plans, etc.
Research, compile and review data for construction claims analyses.
May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline plus three years' relevant experience, or two years' experience since Master's degree.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Ability to use computer, to prepare accurate reports and supporting documentation.
Familiarity with Oracle Primavera P6, Schedule Analyzer, Deltek Acumen and applicable Windows Office software.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

None.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

General knowledge of construction and maintenance of highways, streets and bridges.
Prior construction inspection experience preferred but not required.
Prior interaction with Texas Department of Transportation as a consultant or contractor a plus.
