How will you contribute to the team?

  • Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk.
  • Participates in the hiring process that ensures positions are staffed with personnel who possess the appropriate education and experience and who can be successful in meeting training and qualification requirements, and ensures are appropriately indoctrinated  and trained to the necessary competence level for performing their duties.
  • Responsible to assist the Operations Manager with oversight of activities in Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Waste Management/Transportation associated with U-233 disposition and processing.
  • Assists with ensuring that the operations are performed in accordance with applicable procedures and DOE Orders for the project.
  • Assists with the development of long-term and annual planning including budget development and administration, including identification of facility equipment upgrade/replacement needs
  • Assists with planning and pricing of new scopes of work.
  • Supports interfaces with DOE.
  • Oversees the Implementation Validation Review process for new Documented Safety Analyses (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR).
  • Assists with the development of policies, plans and procedures to implement requirements in facility operations.
  • Oversees the Operations causal analysis and corrective actions process.
  • Assesses organizational performance.
  • Supports the execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and core functions and the Isotek Safety Culture.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute?

  • Baccalaureate in engineering or related science.
  • Previous experience supporting DOE programs required, with 4 years' experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Experience performing Causal Analyses and developing corrective actions.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.
  • US citizenship required for Atkins Global Isotek Systems project positions.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, verbal and written skills
  • Ability to interface at all levels of the organization and with the customer and regulators.
  • Shall be able to describe and interpret the essential principles, requirements, relationships and importance of applicable DOE Orders and Standards as they apply to Operational disciplines.
