Emergency Crisis/Security Manager (Saudi National)

The Saudi National Emergency Crisis & Security Manager should have a minimum of five years’ experience within the security industry, preferably with management experience. He should be familiar with security industry ‘best practice’ and have experience within large and fast paced transport environments.

He/she will need to be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of crisis management and demonstrate an understanding of industry best practice.

The Emergency Crisis & Security Manager will assist the Senior Security Manager with the oversight of the O&M contractors’ development and implementation of all related security policies, systems and procedures associated with the Metro System, ensuring all comply with any Saudi legislative requirements, along with the development and implementation of a resilience framework.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Riyadh Metro Security Control Procedures;

  • Management of the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Contractors security, surveillance, access control and intruder control across the RPTN;

  • Oversee and advise on Security risks and associated mitigations;

  • Conduct audit and inspections of the contractors, ensuring full compliance with contractual and legislative obligations;

  • Determine the efficiency of established procedures and make recommendations for improvements;

  • Assist the Senior Security Manager with the design and implementation of a Resilience program;

  • Provide subject matter advice on security related matters.

Qualifications

  • Good Arabic and English verbal and written skills;

  • Experience of working within large, fast moving organisations;

  • Good problem-solving skills;

  • Good knowledge of industry best practice relating to crisis management;

  • Experience of operating within a Crisis Management Framework;

  • Experience of incident investigation and root cause analysis;

  • Good written & communication skills, with the ability to write accurate and clear reports;

  • Experience of Health & Safety at work;

  • Emergency Management experience;

  • Experience of supervising subordinate security professionals, performing activities such as training, assigning work, evaluating performance, or disciplining;

  • Preferably holds a Bachelors degree in security or related field.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Good understanding of security industry ‘best practice’

  • Good understanding of local legislation relating to the security industry

  • 5 years within the security industry, preferably within a management role.

Skills & Aptitudes

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Crisis Management

  • Ability to work within a team or on own initiative.

  • A skilled influencer with exceptional communication skills.

  • Experienced manager who leads with humility and integrity.

  • Strong ability to lead change with an organization.

  • A strategic thinker capable of making decisions under pressure.

  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Project Requirements

  • Very good spoken English.

  • Very good written English.

  • Fluent command of Arabic.
