Federal Contracts Manager

Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Contracts and Subcontracts Team as a Federal Contracts Manager. This position can sit in our Alexandria, VA or Calverton, MD office.
- Responsible for all aspects of the Prime Contract Life Cycle including bid preparation, client negotiation, risk management, preparing REAs – requests for equitable adjustment, knowledge of FAR/DFARs and other agency supplements, CAS compliance, Commercial Item Acquisition. Must be familiar with cost plus, incentive, time & materials and firm fixed price contract types as well as GSA Schedules.
- Performs work that involves applying acquired and diversified knowledge and experience in contracts administration and the coordination of related activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, plus a minimum of eight years relevant experience, five of which ‘must be related to FAR-based prime contract administration OR Master's degree in Business Administration or related field, plus a minimum of six years relevant experience, five of which ‘must be related to FAR-based prime contract administration.
- Good analytical and organizational skills. Ability to perform mathematical calculations, to understand contract plans and specifications, organize information, and effectively utilize PC and applicable software.
- NCMA CFCM desired
