Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis

Under the supervision of the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis;

Responsibilities  

• Participate in the preparation of the consolidated results, budgets, business plans, as well as quarterly forecast by working with various business partners to ensure forecasts are reliable and up-to-date;
• Participate in preparing presentations relating to month-end results, monthly estimates, quarterly forecasts and yearly budgets provided to senior management within a respective line of business;
• Responsible for accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and monitoring overhead costs by line of business;
• Prepare & analyze the line of business free cash flows by project while communicating with the business partners in order to gain sufficient understanding of significant variances.
• Support the line of business as needed, including the development of processes, tools and reports to help them in the activities of reporting, planning, forecasting and performance monitoring;
• Analyze the performance of the line of business versus the budget and the forecasts;
• Participate and implement centralized initiatives with a focus on process optimization;
• Act as a strong business partner and collaborate with line of business Executives, Legal reporting, Treasury, Systems & Corporate departments;
• Participate on various special projects and ad hoc requests.

Experience & Skills

• Designation CPA, CA or CPA, CMA;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and/or reporting;
• Ability to work with short delay and good tolerance to change;
• Ability to work in a team, resourceful and rigorous;
• Strong communication & collaboration skills with various business partners;
• Experience in consolidation (an asset);
• Experience with Oracle / Hyperion (an asset);
• Strong knowledge surrounding MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint);
• English/French bilingual (spoken and written).
