This position is for the GTC Financial Planning and Analysis team and to assist Finance Director in delivering a high quality and effective forecasting / budgeting, and extended financial reporting Function for GTC. The role will be focused on ensuring delivery of clear, accurate and insightful budgets/reports as well as provide support to divisions in terms of Statutory review and other value add activities.

Responsibilities

·       preparation of month end accounts and completion of deliverables in a timely manner

·       preparation of robust and complete quarterly forecasts and annual budget to the standards and timescales set by Group Finance functions

·       Manage the complete  P&L of  SBU’s , from budgets to variance reporting and co ordinating with the BU heads

·       Support the Head of FP&A and Finance Director with ad-hoc initiatives and analyses

·       Financial support to and advice to the project directors and managers, ensuring they understand the financial performance of their projects

·       Ensure compliance to business Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and use of best accounting practices

·       Develop strong working relationships with team members and other key stakeholders

·       Delivery of finance training to project managers and project directors as required

·       Seek opportunities to learn new skills and aspire to develop within the team.

Technical Competencies

Essential

·       Fully Qualified ACA/CMA

·       Minimum of 5 years’ experience (5 to 8 years range) within a business support Finance role

·       Prior experience of working within a large set up (MNC)

·       Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and delegate effectively

·       Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (knowledge of Data Modelling, PowerPivot and PowerBI tools is an advantage). Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools

·       Good understanding of a project lifecycle and the different measures of financial performance

·       Exposure to preparing statutory returns and financial statements

·       Strong financial reporting skills with an understanding of IFRS

·       Excellent communication in English (both written and oral).

·       Experience of interacting with multiple businesses and finance functions

Desirable

·       Has prepared project related financial reports, Entity level budgets / forecasts

·       Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Hyperion Finance Management (HFM), Smart View and other IT systems and databases.
