The below job description is specifically for the Linxon Business of the SNC-Lavalin Group. In December 2017, ABB and SNC-Lavalin signed an agreement to form a joint venture for the execution of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects for electrical substations. SNC-Lavalin will have the majority and controlling interest in the joint venture.  By combining ABB’s world-leading technology and its market leadership position in power transmission and distribution with SNC-Lavalin’s strengths and in delivering infrastructure projects, the joint venture will help meet the evolving need of power grids across the globe for safe, reliable and state-of-the-art electrical substations.  This role will be part of this new and exciting joint venture.   

Financial and Reporting Analyst Job Description

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• You will be accountable to prepare and record GL entries and reconciliations for all Linxon Entities, throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific, responsible for monthly reporting and financial statements;
• You will support Linxon Controllers with statutory financial statements;
• You will assist Linxon in generating, reviewing and distributing the weekly/ monthly/ annual reporting package, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets preparations;
• Actively participate and contribute in all required audits, cost reporting, tax filings and tax returns files, as per the deadlines established with the business, and with the support of the local controllers;
• You will be responsible for the Corporate Reporting;

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Economics  
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Statutory Accounting (monthly reporting) or Financial planning and analysis (budgeting, forecasting)
• Solid understanding of accounting practices and principles 
• Accuracy, detail-oriented, with good organizational skills
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Strong technical & analytical skills 
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Self-motivated, high initiative and able to work with minimal supervision 
• Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility
• Strong business partnering skills 
• Innovation, creativity and project ownership
• Team player and customer-focused
• English proficient 
• Oracle (ERP) knowledge would be a plus
