Role Summary
The Financial controller for ADS&T Market is responsible for the market operation within the division. Key point of contact for the Market & Operation directors and support to the business. Production of the individual Market accounts along with appropriate commentary and reporting. The role reports directly to the Senior Financial Controller.
Requirements
- A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with post qualified experience
- Detailed knowledge of Atkins’ finance processes, standards and systems will be advantageous
- Business partnering experience
- The role will require some travel, mainly within the UK
Responsibilities
Oversee Market accounts, budgets and quarterly forecast, along with commentaries & associated reporting
Pricing and bid support to Project Managers & Directors, including the overseeing the creation and integrity of bid models
Monthly: Review market accounts, reconciliations, reporting and glide path analysis, cashflow planning and lock-up management
Quarterly: Oversee quarterly market forecast and associated reporting and engage with the load capacity process
Annually: PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) market returns, preparation of audit documentation, Cabinet Office returns and Factbook submission
Market strategy and five-year planning support
Finance support relating to Market-related investments
Business Partnering role:
- Working with the Market Director & Operations Director discussing and advising in strategic decision making
- Working with the Client Directors advising on strategic bids and helping to make decisions around growth areas
- Supervision and line management of junior staff
- Ad hoc projects and support to the Senior Financial Controller
