Current and forthcoming projects include
concept through to detailed design of complex Railway Station buildings with
retail units primarily in the United Kingdom, Middle East, South Asia and
Europe.
We are looking for a highly motivated
individual with experience of delivering large railway projects especially
station buildings. Candidates shortlisted for this position would be expected
to deliver major international projects both new build and also refurbishment
projects.
The candidate
shall have a Bachelorâs degree in relevant Engineering discipline from a
recognised Institute with a minimum of 20 years of industry experience or
Masters from recognised institute with a minimum of 15 years of industry
experience. It is essential that the candidate has as a minimum 10 yearsâ
experience of delivering international projects.
Responsibilities shall include but not limited
to the following:

Technical group leader /
specialist with high reputation in the industry.
·
Responsible for managing
large project teams.
·
Authors high quality
technical reports.
·
Understands technical
issues and costs related to selection of complex design features.
·
Able to present work at
Client meetings and deliver high quality presentations.
·
Applies broad technical
experience and knowledge and able to check or critically review work of all
those in the project team.
·
Able to prepare and review
project cost estimates for all packages of work.
·
Fully proficient in
structural analysis and design of variety of structures and able to review
deliverables for the project.
·
Thorough understanding of
international Railway standards, International codes of practice, Health and
safety legislation.
·
Detailed knowledge of
multi-discipline designs and competence with engineering software such as Staad
Pro, SAP, SAFE, ETABS, LUCAS etc.
·
Proficiency in dynamic and
static analysis. Develop schematic designs and detailed designs for small to
large scale projects.
·
Carry out checks on the
work carried out by junior engineers and AutoCAD technicians.
·
Ensure effective
communication and coordination on assigned tasks between all disciplines.
·
Ensure designs meet Clients
requirements and compliance with relevant Codes of Practice.
·
Responsible for compliance
with Atkins QA/QC procedures and implementation of procedures.
·
Keeps abreast of latest
trends and technologies in the Industry.
