Work with us as a Highways Project Manager, and you'll play a central role in making vital civil and structural designs a reality. You'll enjoy opportunities across a vast range of projects, from new builds to renewal, maintenance, and assessment works. Your skills and expertise will mean a lot to the business and our clients, such as Highways England, Network Rail, and Transport for London. You'll be trusted to lead your team, knowing we all want you to succeed, and we're ready to help you grow.

Your purpose

  • Lead and manage transportation projects, typically for a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Apply your own skills, knowledge and experience and our business management system to deliver engineering design project work to the highest, safety, quality and environmental standards.
  • Apply your own skills, knowledge and experience in engineering to support our teams in delivering to the highest technical standards and ensuring rigourous application of quality processes.
  • Provide insight and value in commercial delivery, driving and pricing bids and owning project or package financial accountability through delivery to close-out.
  • Work with our clients, practices and market teams to manage risks and opportunities and build real value in long-term relationships.

    What you can bring

  • We're looking for project management experience and potential with an engineering base, across a range of levels. Ideally, two years' plus demonstrable experience in a role with project management responsibility on transportation or related civil engineering projects.
  • BEng / MEng or MSc degree in civil engineering or equivalent engineering qualification. Or, recognised project management qualification and experience in delivering transportation engineering projects.
  • NEC3 or NEC4 project management qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working with or for our key clients, e.g. Local Authorities, Highways England, HS2, Developers and/or Contractors.
  • Able to demonstrate responsibility for managing project commercial aspects / decisions, and of managing risks.
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience and problem solving in a dynamic project environment.
