Due to our continued success, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for ICT& S Inspector/Electrical Inspector to be based in Riyadh.

Key responsibilities:

 

To implement all aspects of the quality management systems and site supervision activities provision related to ICT/Security and Audio visual Works across the projects, perform inspections and submittal reviews to deliver quality installations in accordance with the contract documents, relevant international standards and Local Authorities’ requirements.

  • Site ICT & S Engineer

  • Engineers (SQE)                     

Responsibilities:

  • Keep, monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s) concerning the execution of the works related to IT, Telecom, Security System (Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, and Gate Barriers), Audio Visual(Digital Signage, IPTV, Meeting room/Training system Public address and background music and Guest management system) services as per project requirement.
  • Identify non-conforming work or materials, notify contractor and keep a record. Follow up corrective and preventive measure taken by the Contractor.
  • Assist in the review and forward comments on the contractor’s method statement to site ICT&S Engineer for execution of the works.
  • Assist in the review and forward any comments on the contractor’s technical submittals to site ICT&S Engineer for the execution of the site work.
  • Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor (s) submissions, shop drawings, material submittals and construction related matters
  • Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.
  • Assist in the review and forward comments to Site ICT&S Engineer on the Technical Query raised by the contractor.
  • Inspect the work done by the contractor(s) to ascertain that work is executed in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practise
  • Inspect the on-site and off-site materials to ascertain their compliance with the specification as determine its accessibility for use on the project.
  • Identify potential safety concerns and inform the contractor (s).
  • Review and assist Site ICT&S Engineer for site progress and the contractor’s interim payment application
  • Liaise with the RE/ Site ICT&S Engineer for the effective implementation of the quality management systems and site supervision provision activities.
  • Implement the site supervision quality procedures, and review submission requirements of the project, along with the contractor.
  • Review all construction documents and highlight any design and contractual discrepancies with the concerned Site ICT&S Engineer/ RE.
  • Ensure that all statutory authority NOC’s / permits / design approvals are available on site for construction.
  • Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/or delay.
  • Conduct regular (daily) site visits and supervise, verify the installation of ICT&S works ensuring compliance with the contract documents.
  • Review and forward any comments to Site ICT&S Engineer on the contractor’s method statement for installation, execution of the works.
  • Review and forward any comments to Site ICT&S Engineer on the contractor’s technical submittals.
  • Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor (s) submissions, shop drawings, material submittals and construction related matters
  • Raise non-conformance notices (NCNs)/reports; site inspections notices (SINs) identify quality deficiencies in conjunction with the RE.
  • Review the corrective actions proposed by the contractor, respond / follow ups and close out procedure
  • Any potential safety concerns identified at site shall be reported to Site SHSEE / RE.
  • Monitor the progress of the work against the approved contractor programme of works.
  • Verify the accuracy of the contractor’s “As-Built” drawings reflecting in details the as-built conditions and approve the As-Built drawings.
  • Assist in the review and approve the contractor’s operations & maintenance manuals.
  • Liaise with the Statutory Authorities and follow up all final inspection and approvals as required.
  • Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.

1. Project Interface 

  • Assist Site ICT&S Engineer/RE in the supervision of the works to ensure compliance with the contract documents.
  • Assist/support the site team and the respective RE with the implementation of quality management systems.
  • Assist the site team in the external and internal audits to ensure the effective implementation of quality management systems and work with the site team for resolution of non-conformance issues.
  • Liaise with the project supervision team, coordinate and resolve any issues of concern.
  • Analyse current methods of site supervision and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Implementation of all quality audits, surveillance audits and work with site team for resolution of non-conformance issues.
  • Compile Site Feedback and forward to Site ICT&S Engineer/RE/SHOE.
  • Assist the site team in the satisfactory close out of the project including snagging / de-snagging of the works and related documentation.
  • Review and assist the project team to compile all documents at handing-over for submission to the Client.
  • Assist Site ICT&S/RE in compilation of all documents for the issuance of the Taking-Over Certificate.
  • Review the Contractor’s Inspection Test plan and review all QA/QC documentation.
  • Inspect the works carried out by the contractor(s) and ensure the quality of the works meets the project requirements.

2. Contractor Interface

  • Follow up inspections of the works and material delivered at site is as per the Contractor’s Inspection Test Plan.

3. Site Operations Department Interface

  • Coordinate leave request and discuss leave cover with the SHOE.
  • Liaise with BSMSOD for all HR / Finance / Administrative issues.

Functional Duties:

  • Assume responsibility of the inspection of ICT&S works in the project.
  • Monitor performance of the contractor / sub-contractor and identify, raise any quality / workmanship concerns with the SQE / RE.
  • Review quality procedures and effectively implement QA/QC plans across the project.
  • Identify any particular site safety issues and bring to the notice of the contractor / SHSEE / RE.
  • Carry out, witness all tests carried out by the contractor on-site and off-site tests.
  • Inspect the works, on-site material, off-site material to be used in the project. 

Line Management / Administrative Duties:

  • Update and maintain the latest revision of all project documents
  • Review, coordinate and forward submittals, inspection requests, technical query to the project team and/or discipline engineers.
  • Assist the project site team during internal, external and site surveillance audits.
  • Coordinate leave request and discuss leave cover with the SHOE
  • Prepare and regularly (daily) submit reports and maintain records

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Technical Competencies, Essential and Fluent
  • Minimum 2-3 years previous work experience related to ICT/Security & audio visual works
  • Ability to work without excessive supervision 
  • Ability for self checking & correction of work 
  • Very good interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone 
  • Must have good English written and oral communication skills 
  • Must work well in large teams with staff members of all backgrounds and skill levels 
  • Middle East work experience preferred
