MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Under direct supervision, observes activities at construction projects to determine adherence to contract documents and regulatory agency provisions.


JOB DUTIES

• Generally, applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of specified technical tasks in the observation of construction projects of minor to medium complexity.
• Inspect roadway construction operations that include earthwork, subgrade, base and pavement operations as well as drainage and other incidental construction. Perform verification testing of asphalt, concrete and earthwork density testing. Document the daily operations of the contractor and support the project senior inspector and project engineer.
