Intermediate Civil or Mechanical Engineer

This position is based out of our office in Burnaby, BC. and reports to Track Systems Manager in our Rail Systems group. It is responsible for design and construction of light rail, metro, and heavy rail transportation networks for clients in Canada and worldwide. Suitable candidates will be hardworking, diligent engineers or engineers-in-training, proficient with AutoCAD and/or Microstation.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Track geometry and detail design
- Ride quality analysis and optimization
- Preparation of technical specifications
- Preparation of design reports, field reports and other narrative or technical reports
- Preparation of other engineering and construction documents (RFI responses, memos)
- Field engineering and construction support
- Coordination of project deliverables and associated time management/team leadership
- Multi-disciplinary coordination and communication
- Communication with clients and/or other stakeholders
- Drawing and documentation sign/seal an asset
What will you contribute?
- A university degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)
- 2+ years experience in railway engineering is required
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with transportation-related features of AutoCAD and/or Microstation
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Interest in pursuing (or already holding) their USA engineering license (PE) an asset
