Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking a Janitor to join the nuclear team in Oak Ridge, TN.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Perform janitorial tasks at Isotek managed facilities at ORNL under general supervision.
• Requires working with people and ability to maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees.
• Perform tasks that involve physical requirements including, but not limited to standing, walking, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling heavy amounts, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, rapid work speed, crawling, reaching (high, low and level), lifting overhead, finger movement and seeing near and far with depth perception and color vision.
• Wear applicable protective equipment, including but not limited to: protective eye wear, hearing protection, arm/hand/finger/leg/feet and toe protection.
• Work in varied working conditions, including, but not limited to extreme cold and heat, frequent temperature changes, humidity, height, mechanical hazards, moving objects, vehicle operation on company property, working alone, working with solvents, fumes, dusts, mists and working with cleaning agents/wax.
• Able to use a computer to check emails, enter time and keep up with required reading and training.
• Ability to obtain a Q clearance.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Ability to maintain cleaning supply inventory.
• Ability to follow chemical use instructions.
• Ability to balance workload and communicate with occupants of assigned facility.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous janitorial experience or labor experience.
• US citizenship required for Atkins Global Isotek Systems project positions
