How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Lead the “Controls Self-Assessment” - CSA program for the Engineering Design & Project Management (EDPM) sector across regions.
- Ensure the key internal controls are operating efficiently to support sign-off of quarterly progress reports and an annual certificate of self-assessment.
- Assist management in assessing and identifying controls needed for new processes and opportunities for operating efficiencies.
- Maintain the AXIS (intranet) CSA webpage with up-to-date information on the CSA.
- Upload all the checklists with the key controls split by functions and departments.
- Upload all the templates (working paper; quarterly reports and year-end report and certificate) on Axis webpage.
- Send instructions to all the businesses and support functions including the quarterly deadlines.
- Request all the businesses and support functions to send their CSA testing plans within the date specified.
- Review all the CSA testing plans received to ensure they are reasonable and make sense. Liaise with the businesses for any changes required.
- Remind businesses two weeks before the due date to submit their quarterly reports & yearly report.
- Review reports received. Ensure all the necessary approvals have been given. Chase if reports are not received and help resolve any issues.
- Prepare Executive report and submit to Senior Group Accountant for approval/comments.
- Once approved, submit the reports to Senior Vice-President and senior management.
What will you contribute?
- Preferred Qualifications CA/CPA/CIA/ACCA.
- 5+ years of extensive experience in Managing and reviewing both Finance and Business Process Controls test work.
- Experience in a Big-4 audit firm with involvement in a Systems and Process audit of a big MNC is preferred.
- Ability to investigate and review processes and procedures within the business without detailed supervision.
- Ability to communicate with anyone at all levels inside and sometimes outside of the business.
- Work in an orderly, organised fashion and manage own time well.
- Ability to participate in automating processes and procedures.
