Librarian

• Sorting, processing, and arranging library materials such as books, magazines, audio cassettes, CDs and DVDs.
• Providing reference service (in person and by telephone)
• Provision of Internet and Photocopy services
• Issuance of library cards
• Operating the Library Management System for library material processing and management of overdue items
• Identification and replacement of damaged materials and assets
• Conduct various analysis of Library utilization and borrowed materials,  and make recommendations for improvement (book selection, space and library furniture organization)
• Plan and organize ongoing Library theme special events for residents, including children such as reading classes
• Organize fun activities for children
• Plan, organize, and provide assistance with other Community Activities and Events
• Complete pre-scheduled inspections of facilities to support quality initiatives

Qualification:

• Female with University Education specializing in a relevant field
• Minimum 3 years of proven working experience in a related field
• Effective interpersonal, social, organizational and leadership skills
• Must be able to work effectively with kids
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and under minimal supervision
• Ability to participate as a team player in a fast paced and changing environment
• Well organized, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Good English and Arabic speaking skills
• Flexible in taking on other assigned responsibilities (as required)
• Able to work shifts
• Experience in operating information database systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook an asset
