Work under direction of design lead and BIM/CAD Lead.
Needs to be a good team player, with the ability to work with minimum supervision using own initiative.
Performs advanced Revit modeling and AutoCAD, system selection, and equipment, of non-routine final drawings/projects under direction of Lead Engineer or other responsible staff member.
Assists in the development of probable cost estimates for projects within the department.
Able to prepare discipline specific computations and applies engineering fundamentals.
Understands and utilizes engineering technical terminology.
Selects and schedules if discipline specific equipment for review by engineers.
Provide advice, guidance and mentoring for drafting and engineering designer staff.
Provide technical support to other staff in area of expertise.
Uses Revit and AutoCAD in calculations of dimensions and distances in discipline specific design.
Produces designs and drawings from vendorâs and manufacturerâs catalog and technical data
Perform checking of oneâs own work and work prepared by junior drafters and designers
Provide coordination of all applicable project disciplineâs drawings and specifications
Promote communication, cooperation and quality among staff.
Good organizational skills and a diligent approach to problem solving.
Ensure construction documents accuracy based on discipline BIM/CAD Modelling / Drafting.
Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines, design-changes and day to day model updates.
Ability to cascade knowledge to a wider team.
Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
Ability to create customised Content/Family creation.
Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.
Take the lead on developing discipline specific BIM modelling content for project as required.
Print drawing sets for design team and participate in discipline reviews.
Ability to export DWF /DWG/PDFâs/NWCâs/NWFâs/NWDâs and other formats for collaboration internally and externally.
Conduct Clash detection between the trades using live link models and ensure the models are coordinated.
To be fully conversant with CAD/BIM modelling or drafting in a BIM environment.
