Network Security Engineer - Engineering

Key responsibilities 

• Assessment business critical technologies for security vulnerabilities and improvements 

• Provide best practice remediation recommendations to address security flaws identified 

• Accountable for guiding and supporting the operations teams in all technologies under our remit. 

• Provide specific product technical solutions 

• Is result oriented and has a high degree of accountability, commitment and responsibility. The expectation is that involving an architect in a project is a guarantee of obtaining positive outcomes. 

• Involved in supporting the business teams to understand the security constraints and recommendations and works with them to translate those requirements in solution designs and implementation plan 

• Analyses products and technologies and makes appropriate suggestions to influence technical direction and use of technologies after making necessary evaluations 

• Responsible for propagating “Secure by Design” principles by getting involved early in the cycle for any new Platform or Application being planned in the Technology eco-system 

Experience required

• Commendable experience of information security in a global and similar size business 

• Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of current information security events and trends 

• Good understanding of Cybersecurity NIST framework 

• Extensive technical skills covering product, technologies are essential, it is not necessary to be a specialist in any one area or technology 

• Advanced Knowledge of Security Architecture Principles 

• Knowledge of Application Architecture and ability to align to Network Strategy 

• Knowledge of IAM (Identity Access Management) principles is beneficial 

• Excels at stakeholder management, communication and able to build credibility and demonstrate the value of designing security controls early in the lifecycle 

• Detailed hands on experience covering several of the following technical areas with delivery at scale is desirable: 

Firemon 

F5 LTM, ASM, APM 

Checkpoint / Firewalls 

Zscaler ZIA / ZPA / ZAPP 

Remote Access 

AAA ( Cisco ACS / MS NPS ) 

VPN 

SD-WAN
