Offshore Lead Geotechnical Engineer

It’s an exciting time to be joining the SNC Lavalin family in the UAE, as we continue to experience significant growth within our Resources sector. Because of the growth in PMC project work we are looking to speak to candidates who have significant experience delivering major PMC projects within the Oil & Gas sector.

Our current requirement is for a Lead Geotechnical Engineer to work on offshore sire in Abu Dhabi focusing on reclamation and ground improvement for artificial Island. Offshore rotations are 6 week on and 3 weeks off.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be required to monitor the EPC contractors work and Lead geotechnical investigations scoping, management and interpretation on behalf of the client.

Requirements:

• A proven track record in geotechnical investigation management and interpretation and the design of deep and shallow foundations, piles, retaining walls and other related infrastructure;
• Experience in managing a team of engineers to deliver projects on time and to specified budgets
• A good academic background with a civil engineering / geotechnical engineering bachelors or masters degree;
• At least 15 years’ experience in the civil / geotechnical fields in a PMC or EPC environment with a minimum of 5 years Middle East experience;
• Must have experience working in an offshore environment.
• Appropriate experience in the use of geotechnical analysis software (gINT, PLAXIS, Slope W, Seep W and Piglet etc.);
