Relevant du partenaire d’affaires principal, Finances, le titulaire de ce poste aura comme mandat de créer un partenariat de confiance entre les services de finances, d’exploitation et de gestion d’un groupe d’exploitation.
Le partenaire d’affaires principal, Finances sera responsable de la préparation et du suivi du budget et des coûts pour la division sous sa responsabilité, ainsi que de la préparation et de la publication d’informations financières afin d’améliorer la prise de décisions pour la gestion de la division. Le partenaire d’affaires principal, Finances ajoutera de la valeur en offrant un soutien financier et analytique, notamment en stimulant le rendement financier, en appuyant le processus d’établissement des prévisions budgétaires et en veillant au contrôle financier des activités du groupe d’exploitation.
Quelle sera votre contribution dans l’équipe ?
- Agir en tant que personne-ressource principale pour les dossiers financiers du groupe d’exploitation respectif et à titre de conseiller principal sur les données financières de projets, gérer un fonds de roulement, optimiser les résultats financiers et participer à la planification stratégique à un niveau élevé;
- Préparer et publier le budget annuel et les prévisions trimestrielles en collaboration avec l’exploitation de la division sous sa responsabilité, en tenant compte des critères financiers et opérationnels établis;
- Participer à la préparation d’états financiers, conformément aux politiques internes de SNC-Lavalin et aux divers règlements, lois et principes comptables en vigueur;
- Produire divers rapports d’analyse financière, incluant des explications des écarts, en vue d’une publication mensuelle ou pour répondre à des besoins précis;
- Faire le suivi des coûts et des budgets pour les frais d’exploitation des domaines sous sa responsabilité, et apporter les ajustements nécessaires aux rapports financiers mensuels;
- Effectuer des écritures de clôture mensuelles et l’analyse des écarts, et présenter l’explication des écarts de la division au CE et à l’équipe de direction;
- S’engager et participer activement à l’amélioration des méthodes et des processus en fournissant des données, en proposant des idées et en collaborant pour améliorer le contrôle des coûts;
- Rédiger des rapports sur son domaine de responsabilité et participer à des réunions avec d’autres services pour les tenir au courant et discuter des dépenses liées au budget, aux prévisions et aux changements opérationnels ayant une incidence sur les activités;
- Consolider et analyser les flux de trésorerie disponibles par projet de la division tout en communiquant avec les dirigeants des activités commerciales afin de bien comprendre les écarts importants;
- Appuyer les unités d’exploitation au besoin, y compris dans l’élaboration de processus, d’outils et de rapports, afin de les aider dans les activités de rédaction de rapports, de planification, de prévision et de suivi du rendement;
- Participer à divers projets spéciaux et demandes ponctuelles;
- Participer à l’élaboration, à l’intégration et à l’amélioration des systèmes et des processus financiers.
Que recherchons-nous ?
- Titre professionnel de CPA ou de CA, ou agrément professionnel approuvé équivalent;
- Minimum de cinq ans d’expérience en comptabilité ou en production de rapports dans des milieux axés sur les projets;
- Expérience en prévision et en budgétisation dans une grande organisation;
- Bonne compréhension des principes comptables, des PCGR et des IFRS;
- Excellente connaissance pratique de Microsoft Excel;
- Capacité à travailler dans des délais serrés et bonne tolérance au changement;
- Capacité à travailler en équipe et à faire preuve de débrouillardise et de rigueur;
- Solides aptitudes en communication et en collaboration avec divers partenaires d’affaires;
- Excellentes aptitudes à la communication en anglais (à l’orale et à l’écrit).

Finance Business Partner – Infrastructure Services, Power, Grid & Industrial Solution

Reporting to the Senior, Finance Business Partner (FBP), the objective of this position is to create a trusted partnership between finance, operations and management of a business group.
The FBP will be responsible for preparation and monitoring budget and costs for the division under his responsibility, as well as preparing and publishing financial information to improve decision-making for division management. The FBP will provide financial and analytical support to add value by driving business group financial performance, supporting the budgeting and forecast process and ensuring financial control of the business group’s operations.
How will you contribute to the team?
- Primary point of contact for financial matters for the respective business group, key advisor on project financials, working capital management and optimization of financial outcomes and high level of involvement in strategic planning.
- Prepare and publish the annual budget and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with the division operations under its responsibility, taking into account the established financial and operational criteria.
- Participate in the preparation of financial statements, in accordance with SNC Lavalin’s internal policies and the various regulations, laws and accounting principles in force.
- Produce various financial analysis reports, including explanations of variances, for monthly publication or to meet specific needs.
- Track costs and budgets for operating expenses in the areas under his responsibility and make the necessary adjustments to monthly financial reports
- Undertake and actively participate in improving methods and processes by helping to provide data, proposing ideas and collaborating to improve cost control
- Write reports on his area of responsibility; participate in meetings with other departments to keep them informed and discuss expenses related to the budget, forecasts and operational changes having an impact on activities
- Consolidate and analyze the Division’s free cash flows by project while communicating with the business operations leaders in order to gain sufficient understanding of significant variances
- Support the business units as needed, including the development of processes, tools and reports to help them in reporting, planning, forecasting and performance monitoring activities
- Participate in various special projects and ad hoc requests
- Participate in the development, integration and improvement of financial systems and processes
What we are looking for?
- CA/ CPA qualified, or suitably equivalent professional accreditation
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and/or reporting project-based environments.
- Forecasting and budgeting in a large organization
- Good understanding of accounting principles, GAAP & IFRS
- Excellent hands on experience of Ms Excel
- Ability to work with short delay and good tolerance to change
- Ability to work in a team, resourceful and rigorous
- Strong communication & collaboration skills with various business partners
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
