Physics Co-op Student

Our dynamic Health Physics/Radiation Physics Group is looking for a Co-op student for a 4-month or 8 month term.

Job Description:

The individual will perform technical analyses of health physics, radiation physics and waste management problems under the guidance of senior Radiation Physics staff.  The incumbent will be required to learn and use computer tools and radiation physics codes to support the technical analyses.   This position requires an individual who is a self-starter, willing to take on a technical challenge with a keen attention to detail, self-checking and self-regulation.  


  • Completion of third year Physics, Health Physics or Engineering Physics (current graduate student is preferred),
  • Knowledge of basic Radiation Physics concepts,
  • Knowledge of computer programming-Visual Basic, Fortran or C
  • Good performance in Mathematics and Physics courses
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Provide an up-to-date resume and transcript
  • Ability to get a security clearance
