Planning engineer required for a high end residential development in Oman. Must have experience in planning and monitoring of construction works on site from completion to close out. Ideally the candidate will have worked on residential developments and has worked in Oman previously.

The planning engineer will report to and assist the Resident Engineer on the project and should be a self motivated individual able to question and appraise contractor programmes for compliance with the contract documents.

Ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified in either Engineering or Construction / Project Management.

  • Minimum 15 years experience

  • Proven track record in the planning of large projects

  • Ability to monitor programmes for contract compliance

  • Detailed understanding of construction sequencing

  • Experience in delay analysis and able to review cause and effect submissions

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

    Job role will include:

  • Review of all contractor programmes for compliance

  • Monitoring of the works against the agreed and approved programme

  • Reports to the Resident Engineer

  • Ability to produced detailed reports on programme matters

  • Checking of work progress on site
