Project Controls Manager would be responsible for the support to our Joint Ventured CanAtom Project. He/Shewill work to support improvements to standardize, implement, train and oversee execution of all project controls processes and systems (payroll time collection for trades and field non-manual, billing, etc.) across the project. He/She will supervise Project Control personnel and ensures that all Project Control activities (project estimating, risk, cost and schedule management) comply with all company standards and contractual requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the successful implementation and execution of the Project Controls Plan, including:
- Manage the planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, document control, accounting and coordination staff
- Implement a sound planning and schedule management system for the project in line with the requirements of the PCP
- Implement a sound cost control system for the project in line with the requirements of the PCP
- Implement a sound change management system for the project, in line with the requirements of the PCP
- Accountable for the accuracy of the schedule, timeliness of updates and schedule reporting
- Accountable for the accuracy of cost projections, timeliness of change control, and reporting
- Oversee the execution of sound accounting practices and processes for the execution phase
Qualifications:
- University degree in engineering, technology or any other relevant discipline along with a minimum of five years of working experience in Project Controls
- Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large and multi-cultural team.
- Ability to influence project and proposal direction and decisions.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Background in Risk, Cost, and/or Project Management would be ideal
