Project Controls Manager (QC)

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall Project Control Management oversight on assigned projects
• Provide estimating, cost control or planning expertise and/or managing a team of planners, estimator or cost control professionals depending on the size of the mandate.
• Short and long-range planning for the identification of resource requirements and utilization; claim resolution
• Initial project planning including scope definition and execution planning
• Establishment of the project codes of accounts and reporting requirements
• Preparation of fair price estimates, monitoring and reporting on contractor progress and subsequent review
• Preparation of project schedules at all levels
• Preparation of project change orders and follow-up negotiations
• Review / analysis of contractor bids
• Approval of contractor progress payment certificates
• Analysis and resolution of contractor claims
• Planning and scheduling pre-commissioning activities

Qualifications:

• University graduation in engineering with strong experience in either planning or costs, combined with supervisory experience in both projects and administrative capacity
• Minimum 10 years of experience or combination of education and experience
• Ability to influence others without having direct management lines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present data to and on behalf of the project team.
• Must have experience working in an EPC/ EPCM environment a have experience with large projects.
• Extensive knowledge of planning and scheduling or cost control or estimating methods and procedures related to project work
• Excellent computer skills are needed: Experience with all or some of these software’s are necessary: Primavera (P5, P3, P3e/c), Monte Carlo, MS Project, Progress Measurement systems such as Mile marker, Convero
• Knowledge of the basic workings of PM+ and the various modules and how they interface with each other
