SNC-Lavalin is looking for a project controls specialist. This intermediate position reports to Project Controls Manager and be responsible for projects controls on a number of projects from initiation through closeout and will support the project controls team in their day to day tasks.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Provide cost control and scheduling to projects

• Produce periodical progress, earned value and KPI reports and recommend corrective actions under the supervision of senior staff

• Develop, maintain and update project budgets, capture actual costs and produce cost forecasts

• Assist with change management system

• Gather and analyze information for cost trending and project performance

• Provide budgetary information to project team members

• Develop and maintain custom reports in variety of applications and platforms, for project controls team

• Assist Finance in preparing and submitting invoice to clients

What will you contribute?

• University degree in related fields, preferably engineering, construction management or business administration

• 5-10 years of experience in project controls

• Strong scheduling and cost management skills, including strong knowledge of MS Office, Cost Management Systems (Oracle and SAP), and Scheduling Systems (Primavera P6)

• Knowledge of Earned Value Management

• Experience with top tier construction / engineering companies

• Planning and organizational skills, enjoys challenges and adept to working under pressure and stretch assignments

• Sound communication skills, fluency in English a must

• Membership in AACEI an advantage

• Familiarity with BC Hydro project controls systems will be evaluated positively
