Working out of SNC- Lavalin's office in Lebanon, TN, and with members of the Engineering and Design teams, you will be part of a team that works on technically complex design/build projects in the biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries.
As a Project Engineer in SNC-Lavalin's Engineering and Construction department and reporting to the Sr. Director of Project Delivery, your typical duties and essential functions will include but not be limited to the preparation, modification, coordination, and/or review of the following.
What will be your contribution?
- Communicate with township and code officials as required during the permitting process
- Develop construction cost estimates
- Assist with buyout
- Identifying and prequalifying subcontractors
- Review drawings and develop work scopes
- Create itemized bid response form
- Tabulate and de-scope bids
- Complete subcontract requisition forms
- Document meeting minutes for pre-bid, pre-award, weekly subcontractor, and owner meetings
- Develop and maintain overall project schedules
- Work with superintendents and construction managers to develop rolling four week look-ahead schedules
- Manage of assigned subcontractors
- Maintain general conditions forecasts
- Administer and track RFIs and Submittals
- Administer and track data required for LEED Construction Points
- Fill-in for Construction Manager and/or SHE Representative as required
- Perform safety audits
- Assist with commissioning of mechanical/process systems
- Coordinate project closeout and turnover package
- Coordinate warranty work with owners and subcontractors
What we are looking for?
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Experience working with mechanical/process systems
- Microsoft Project
- Microsoft Excel and Word
- OSHA 10/30 Certification a plus
- EIT a plus
