Project Services Support

SNC-Lavalin is looking for a project controls specialist with a back ground in systems analysis. This intermediate position reports to Project Controls Manager and will support the project controls team in their day to day tasks. The position will also be responsible for administering software used during project controls activities.

Responsibilities

• Support project controllers in cost control and scheduling activities
• Produce periodical progress, earned value and KPI reports and recommend corrective actions under the supervision of senior staff
• Develop, maintain and update project budgets, capture actual costs and produce cost forecasts
• Assist with change management system
• Gather and analyze information for cost trending and project performance
• Provide budgetary information to project team members
• Develop and maintain custom reports in variety of applications and platforms, for project controls team
• Administer SharePoint sites
• Administer Aconex sites
• Coordinate permissions on shared drives and interface with IT staff

Qualifications

• Computer skills: Office 365, SharePoint, Primavera P6, Aconex
• University degree in related fields, preferably engineering, construction management or business administration
• 2-7 years of experience in project controls
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (specifically advanced Excel skills) and Cost Management Systems (Oracle)
• Experience with top tier construction / engineering companies
• Planning and organizational skills, adept to working under pressure and stretch assignments
• Sound communication skills, fluency in English a must
• Membership in AACEI an advantage
