We are pleased to be working with our clients to safely deliver “brownfield” projects along with maintenance and support of the Telecommunications Systems at their LNG processing facilities located offshore, on Barrow Island, Onslow and Darwin.  

The successful applicant will have project management experience, led a small team and be able to demonstrate good communication skills at all levels. At least 5 years relevant project management experience delivering small to medium size projects on high tech, complex communications equipment, implemented within Operational project processes along with permitting and scheduling challenges. The position is offered on a standard work week with ad hoc and implementation related site visits as required.

Responsibilities

Utilising a team of experienced telecommunications resources, manage the delivery of a variety of simultaneous projects for a wide range of operational communications technologies and related systems across multiple facilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading a small project delivery team
  • Stakeholder engagement and management
  • Preparation and management of CTR’s including:
    • cost and schedule estimation
    • Scope of work and specification development
    • Project documentation e.g. redline design markups, plans, schedules, specifications, materials lists, RFQ’s
    • Reporting
  • Adherence to, and involvement in Contracts and Procurement processes
  • Resource planning and scheduling across a range of projects and locations
  • Managing project execution ensuring quality project delivery, on time and on budget
  • Liaise with other teams to ensure comprehensive telecommunications services delivered to the whole business as required 

Experience in several of the following systems/processes is a requirement:

  • Safety Systems (PAGA, Access control, E-mustering, CCTV)
  • Marine Systems (radar, vessel tracking systems )
  • Radio Systems (Tetra, VHF, WIMAX, Microwave)
  • Familiarity with O&G Operations project development and delivery processes    

Education and Skills

  • Project Management or equivalent qualifications or experience;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Telecommunications engineering/project experience, ideally within the oil & gas industry;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Strong knowledge of O&G Operations project processes; and
