TransitNEXT:

TransitNEXT is a wholly owned subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin. As the sole proponent in the TransitNEXT team, SNC-Lavalin is awarded the design, build, finance and maintenance of the new extension, and will also assume responsibility for the long-term maintenance of the existing Trillium Line.

Join TransitNEXT and become part of The Trillium Line Extension project, expanding and enhancing transit services in Ottawa. As part of the Trillium project based in Ottawa, we are looking for a qualified Project Training Coordinator.  The incumbent will be responsible to for day-to-day management of all training.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Developing and executing the Operations and Maintenance and Rehabilitation Training Programs and Plans throughout the operation phase of the Trillium Line; this includes training the initial group to perform testing and commissioning, the Client trainers and controllers.

  • Developing the training curriculum and materials; this includes classroom and field training, testing, pass/fail criteria, and certification.

  • Developing and managing the training schedule.

  • Monitoring the performance and progress in achieving the training objectives including the specific deliverables under the Operations Training Program.

  • Defining the Competency Model for the development and delivery of Training Programs that ultimately will result in the certification of employees.

  • Participating in all management discussions on training.

  • Participating in Training Working Group with the Client.

  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of all training deliverables.

  • Supervising and supporting staff designated to develop and deliver training.

  • Ensuring that all training is coordinate.

What will you contribute?

  • Federal license required.

  • Certification of completion from a recognized training program in Canada.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a trainer in Railway sector.

  • Hands-on experience in coordinating large programs.
