We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience to work in Oman.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

The duties of the Contract Engineer/Quantity Surveyor  shall include, but are not limited to the responsibility for the following deliverables:

  • Follow up and interpret contracts, agreements and legal letters and other commitments in general (such as main contracts, Frame work consultancy contracts and other consultancy contracts).

  • Follow up the procedure chart of approving a contract.

  • Monitor/record all contracts of the clients.

  • Detect opportunities and risks during currency of the Project(s), and in particular identify variations and changes in liaison with the Projects' Quantity Surveyors/Project Controllers.

  • Recognizes processes and Project Actions that may lead to Project financial impact.

  • Begins basic analysis of cost and schedule variance.

  • Collects and analysis data for tracking actual data to funding limitations.

  • Communicate with governmental authorities for any updates in contracts.

  • Establish procedures and frameworks for ambiguous cluses in contract with support of related. concerned.

  • Undertake any other duties as requested by the client and related to contracts.

  • Attend all related meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in QS or Civil Engineering from recognized University

  • Preference will be given to MRICS, other relevant certifications.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 5 to 15 years’ experience in preparation of contracts between clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
