We are looking for Risk Manager to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Role:

The Risk Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with the team of professional planners and supports Project Controls Lead in all Upstream

  • reporting and management.

  • Engage with various downstream entities as required – PMO, PMC, LDC, Contractors etc.

  • Establish, review and update Risk Management Plan according to the best international standards (ISO, PMI).

  • Manage the updation of Project/ Programme level risk register based on the risk management meetings or the project updated reports.

  • Set up and manage the portfolio level strategic risk registers

  • Conduct risk meetings and workshops with the project team and stakeholders to identify new risks, update the consequences, risk action plan along with risk owner.

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessment using Primavera Risk analysis software or any other software to perform Monte Carlo simulation risk analysis.

  • Develop and monitor a risk, issue, and opportunity management process

  • Develop and maintain a risk matrix identifying dependencies and the impacts of not meeting scheduled dates.

  • Identify, monitor and managing dependencies, and for resolving related issues.

  • Identify opportunities to arrange and co-ordinate any necessary discussions and agreements to realise benefits.

  • Monitor projects and ensure that an adequate and robust Risk Management process is under active management.

  • Implement an internal PMO Risk Management Plan, Risk register and associated governance processes.

  • Track significant risks to ensure that they are being systematically identified, recorded, evaluated, actively managed and regularly re-evaluated, and communicated across the program.

  • Identify, communicate and manage inter-program or external risks.

  • Develop presentations and dashboards summarising the status of the project and programme risks (heat maps, bubble charts, and others)

  • Assist, review and advise on Stakeholder Management Plan including identification of stakeholders, communication assessment and aligning communication plan in line with master programme

  • Manage PMO/ PgMC/ PMC in preparation of Program Management Plan (PMP) in consultation with client, as a guide to the project teams in performance of their duties; to identify responsibilities and coordinate various actions and procedures into one comprehensive document

  • Monitors, analyses & reports on project performance using qualitative and quantitative tools.

  • Recommends and implement modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.

  • Plans, coordinates and monitors activities of assigned projects to develop and implement procedures,

  • Expert use of Primavera Project Management System P6 (latest version) for program management across the planning team with all stakeholders.

  • Supports in preparing and maintaining the master programme for the project.

  • Review and analyse data/schedule received from the other organisations (Designers, PMCs, and Contractors).

  • Prepares what if scenarios for different types of project schedules to support the Client.

  • Conduct benchmarking data collection analysis for similar projects (buildings and infrastructure).

  • Preparing progress presentations and supporting in the internal (Bi-Weekly, SPMO, CEO updates etc.) and upstream reporting for the clients.

  • Implementation of downstream entities weekly and monthly progress report protocols / templates for progress reporting and monitoring progress against it.

  • Assist in development of a comprehensive risk register at programme level and assist in risk assessment and mitigation plans.

  • Monitoring design, procurement and construction progress for compliance with contract requirements.

  • Assist in preparing the master programme for the projects. Incorporate / Integrate the Contractors program of works into the Master Schedule of works

  • Analyse Contractor’s Delay Claims to establish the contractually justified extension of time and provide recommendation for the client approval.

  • Review and analyse any other claims and EOT requests.

Requirement:

  • Must have an undergraduate engineering degree from a reputable university.

  • Must possess (minimum) 12 years of total experience and 8 years GCC experience preferred.

  • Experience in Monte Carlo Analysis

  • Experience with QRA softwares

  • Experience working in Enabling, Reclamation, Infrastructure, Housing and mixed-use and building projects.

  • Risk Management certification from a recognised international institution.

  • Client-side experience managing PMC’s, LDC’s Cost Consultants and other stakeholders.

  • Strong experience in PCM of major capital projects.

  • Strong Pre-contract experience managing design and procurement activities.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, reporting, and presentation skills.

  • Independent worker who can work well with minimal supervision.

  • Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills and in the development of project control processes and procedures.

  • PMP or other professional certifications.

  • Advanced MS Office Suits.

  • Experience in using Primavera P6, ACONEX & Oracle suite.

  • Sound knowledge of project controls practices, broad knowledge of cost, risk, change and specific knowledge in earned value management

  • Extensive knowledge of best reporting practices in the areas of dashboards, and KPIs.
